A terrace where to have the perfect summer story

Casa Suecia is one of the new terraces in Madrid where you can enjoy the sun without burning and have a nice drink (after 8 please, we all know Madrid is lava right now).

Its elegance invites you in as if you were about to have the perfect afternoon, and it happens, belive me!

We had a great time and I want you to see how it feels like to be up there! Although it’s better if you see it for yourself…

See you on the next post!

Dstage or how to be the coolest.

For this post, we won’t tell you exactly what we had, we will just show you pictures. Why this? First, because it is a closed menu and you will be able to have it easily and second, because we want you to have the same exciting experience not knowing exactly what you are about to put in your mouth, like us.

Of couse, there’s no need to say it, but it was incredible. Expensive, but incredible. It was around 120€ per person, so make sure you have a special night.

Here we go…

Remember, it’s all about the experience… Book your table and plan in advance.

See you on the next post foodies!

Sushi vibes at Doki Doki

How Juanita Cruz can change your life, just as they changed their menu

This is not a typical mexican restaurant, so don’t go there and think of big burritos or fatty tacos (which we love, by the way). But this place is for a different plan, for a different kind of reunion.

You don’t go to Juanita Cruz tu gain 20 kgs in just one meal and talk about life with your friends (who love that kind of food as much as you) but to get well dressed, wear nice high-heels and order fatty-but-chic mexican food.

We started with this giant nachos.

IMG_8108

Full house Nachos

This could have been enough to satisfy us on a normal basis. But we are not normal, so we ordered MORE.

IMG_8107

Melthed cheese ”spanish bread” quesadilla: Not a normal quesadilla, not normal bread.

These two were perfect as appetizers. Nachos were big, good for 4 people. However, the unsual quesadilla would be good for 2-3 people, so make your math in case you are a party for 6!

IMG_8106

Tuna tartar and chips

We love tartar. Any kind. Any time. Any where. This is why we couldn’t resist, even if it’s not the most mexican specialty. It was good, not perfect.

But what was perfect, FOR SURE, was the dessert.

OH. MY. GOD. Hot chocolate-chip cookie with Vanilla iceacream and caramel sauce. Like I said: OH. MY. GOD

We couldn’t even more from our seats when we finished eating plus, we wanted to rush home to make this special post for you (we love you!), but if you have the time and the attitute, Juanita Cruz becomes the best night-bar to dance and have awesone Gintonics with your fellas!

So even if you don’t feel like mexican food, go there around 11.30 pm and order a Gintonic, you will thank us!

See you on the next post foodies!!!

Chic Mexican food time!!

When pizza and pasta get to a whole different level

We all love Italian food. Who doesn’t? Today’s post is about this amazing cuisine and their delicious receipes that makes us dream about eating without getting fat (sorry italians, but for the rest of us mortals, pasta and pizza are the wors enemies of a diet).

I will stop talking now, in Spain we say: An image says more than a thousand words, So here you go (sorry in advance).

Let’s start with an appetizer, healthy, light and DELICIOUS. Who doesn’t like a Caprese Salad? (Even more when you know a pizza comes after)

IMG_8094

We continued our lovely evenig with an incredible parmigiana. If you don’t know what it is, keep reading!

And we finished with, not one, but two pizzas: Prosciutto e Funghi + Diavola

Diavola: Spicy salami, mozarella and black olives from Gaeta

Hungry yet? I’m starving! We had a feast there! but this delicious torture is over guys!

Go try their different options, the ones we chose were delicious and the environment was very romantic.  This is out Little Italy restaurant in Madrid!

See you on the next post foodies!

When you become La Loca, Juanita.

As real and devoted foodies that we are, we couldn’t help it and we went our for dinner. This time it was Juana La Locas’s turn. And it was perfect.

It is a Pintxos place, but not a standard one. Gastronomic master pieces that give you the opportunity of tasting spanish pintxos, mixing it with the best flavours and gastronomic trends.

Here there are some pictures of what we chose for our lovely night at Juana La Loca

Remember to visit Juana La Loca and try these and many other delicious pintxos!

Welcome to Juana La Loca

There is a place in Madrid, where all their dishes are cooked at 80ºC, which gives them the name of 80GRADOS.

We could define the place as a chill out/ I want to party type of place. Why? Because it doesn’t really matter what your intentions are for the night, you can always go there and ask for their Dis-Tinto de Verano

IMG_7839

Dis-Tinto De Verano: lemon, tinto and lemon foam

Is there is sun and you can enjoy the terrace, better. But the inside is also super cool and invites you to enjoy everything you ask for. Speaking of….

We had three different “tapas” (Oh! I forgot to tell you all dishes are tapa-size, letting you ask for a loooot of different things, even when you are just two).

WEe started with something fresh: Salmon tartar with avocado and mango sauce (D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S)

IMG_7838

Salmon tartar: Salmon, avocado, mango sauce and beet

We cotinued with one of the only two dishes that are non tapa-size, the crispy chiken fingers. The funny (and tasty) thing about them is that they are fried with chips, and this gives them a different taste that you will want to order again and again (I know, because this happened to us).

IMG_7847

It was one of those days were you need to eat more, no matter how much you’ve already have. By the time we finished the chicken we had already 3 Dis-Tintos, and we needed to eat more. Believe me. So we continued with truffle egg with chips and ham.

I can’t really talk about it without feeling the need of having it again, it was amaaaazing, and in a super nice plate, which made it even better.

IMG_7853

And finally, we couldn’t leave this amazing place without trying one of their desserts. They have 5 options, not many, but enough for you to have a hard time deciding which one to choose. We went for the oreo cheesecake with yougurt/lemon ice cream. Too much.

IMG_7855

We love this place. It is always good to go, and you never feel tired of it, I promise. Although, you might want to book in advance, 4 days prior. It’s always full and you usually need to wait if you don’t do so (This place is good, and people know it).

We left with a very good feeling, and honestly, this is what matters in the end for a restaurant.

We hope you like this post! More about cool and nice places in Madrid soon, stay tuned!!

Everything is cooked at 80º

Hello Maddies!!!

This week’s video shows a very interesting place in Madrid (as usual).  On the weekdays, Kikekeller is a furniture showroom. But from thursday onwards it becomes a boho chic cocktail bar with a special variety of artisan beers.

It is a chill out space with the possibility of changing the music at your own risk, just changing the spotify song (but always respecting the one playing at the moment!).

We had a lovely time there, and also some good beers! Don’t forget to pass by and meet the nice bartenders!

Boho – chic has never been so fun
